South east London restaurants shortlisted in Turkish food awards

The Turkish Restaurant and Takeaway awards have revealed the restaurants shortlisted across south east London.

On February 21, 2023, the first ever Turkish Restaurant and Takeaway awards will be held in the Jubilee Room of the House of Commons.

The Turkish Restaurant and Takeaway awards recognise, promote, and celebrate the immense importance and popularity of the Turkish food industry in the UK.

The night will be hosted by MP Feryal Clark, with attendees from across the political spectrum including Skills Minister Robert Halfon (CON), Angus MacNeil (SNP), Shadow Foreign Minister Bambos Charalambous (LAB) and many others.

Members of the public have been voting for their favourite restaurant takeaways all over the UK and seven restaurants in south east London have been shortlisted.

Categories range from best value restaurant to best fine dining restaurant – with regional awards for Scotland, Wales, and Northern Ireland.

16 awards will be given to celebrate the best Turkish restaurants across the UK.

Here are the south east London restaurants shortlisted in each category:

Best takeaway in London

– Charcoal Grill Kebab, Plumstead, 4 The Slade, SE18 2NB

Best takeaway restaurant in south and east London

– Hisar Meze Bar, Beckenham, 251 High Street, New Beckenham, BR3 1BN

– Zeytin Restaurant, Greenwich, 63 Greenwich High Road, SE10 8JL

Customer satisfaction

– Kekik Kitchen, Bromley, 226 High Street, BR1 1PQ

– Topkapi Mezze Grill, Bromley, 189 Southborough Lane, Bickley, BR2 8AR

Fine dining restaurant

– Zavi Restaurant and Bar, Sidcup, 747-753 Sidcup Road, SE9 3SA

– Delight Kebab London, 31 Woodside Green, London, SE25 5HQ
