PML-N senator Irfan Siddiqui hails PTI founder as ‘national hero’

Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) senator Irfan Siddiqui hailed on Friday the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) founder as a “national hero.”

Expressing his thoughts during the Senate session, Siddiqui said: “The PTI founder has a fan following. I am against arresting political leaders. The governments change in the country, but the values and traditions should be upheld permanently.”

“If the opposition can sit with Mahmood Achakzai and Maulana Fazlur Rehman, then why not with us. We also respect you [the opposition]” he said.

“Their chief minister [Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur] had talked about attacking Islamabad,” Siddiqui maintained.
